OUR PROCESS

We like to think of ourselves as the textile waste rescue-team. We collect these textiles from Rotterdam’s vintage shops, second-hand stores, and private donations, to then handcraft them into our cool and affordable everyday accessories. This is how our system works:

1. COLLECT

Reshirt Rotterdam collects leftover textiles from shops around the city. These are unwanted materials that have been collecting dust in storage spaces for years, not being sold or acquiring substantial damage. In order to save them from landfills or incinerators, we pick them up and give them a new life.

3. CREATE

Now it's time to roll up our sleeves and get the sewing machines going. We sew and weave these fabrics into upcycled products such as coasters, scrunchies, pot holders, face masks and tote bags. Besides our core team, we also employ art students to help us out with production and to ensure we always live up to our high-quality promise.

2. SORT

After being picked up, we sort the materials and make sure that 100% of them will be used in our future products. In this stage, we decide which fabric materials, depending on the texture and quality, can be transformed into our current products, or be experimented with to design a new creation.

4. DISTRIBUTE

Our upcycled products are finally ready to reach the world, and you. We use upcycled cardboard and textile pieces for all of our packaging, labelling, and orders. Anything for miss Mother Nature! You can find our products on our Etsy shop, our Instagram, and at local Rotterdam secondhand shop Ding en Dingen.
